Cement is essential
for building our world
Fortera provides a pathway to a zero CO₂ future

8% OF THE WORLD’S
CO₂ EMISSIONS
come from Cement and Concrete
Fortera captures CO₂ directly emitted from the cement plant, turning a problem into a product.

60%
FEWER EMISSIONS THAN TRADITIONAL CEMENT WITH A REALISTIC PATHWAY TO ZERO CO₂
A CLEANER WAY TO MAKE A FAMILIAR MATERIAL
Similar performance, workability, and curing characteristics as traditional cement.

SEAMLESS INTEGRATION
AT EXISTING
CEMENT SITES
Tapping into the same quarries, grinders, and kilns already in use at every cement plant.
A FUNDAMENTALLY BETTER CEMENT
TO MANUFACTURE USING THE SAME INFRASTRUCTURE

ONE INPUT,
LOWER KILN TEMPERATURES,
SIMPLIFIED PRODUCTION

Fortera cement
is made from
limestone only
Portland cement is a calcined blend of limestone, silica, iron oxide, gypsum and alumina. By reducing the inputs to just limestone, kilns can operate at lower temperatures and handle higher throughputs at the same scale.
GLOBAL IMPACT
Working within the cement industry and the existing infrastructure, Fortera produces a lower cost product that can be sold in all markets. For every ton of Fortera cement used, almost half a ton of CO₂ is permanently stored in our built environment.
